Small, practical starts that grow into working systems.

Liteseed builds and looks after the technology small organizations depend on: private AI that runs on hardware you control, websites and web applications, and the Linux and cloud servers underneath them.

Services

Four kinds of work, one technician who sees them through.

You talk to the person doing the work. Every engagement ends with the system running, documented, and handed over in a state you can live with.

Private AI infrastructure

AI agents and automation that run on your own server or a Canadian host, so your documents never leave for a foreign cloud. Local language models, document search over your own files, and workflows that take repetitive steps off your staff.

Websites and web applications

Sites and small web apps that load fast, stay patched, and are easy for your team to update. We build, host, tune and maintain them, including moving older sites to current platforms without losing content.

PHP · Python · .NET · nginx · Varnish · MariaDB

Servers, cloud and self-hosting

Linux servers, virtualization and networks set up properly the first time: backups that are tested, monitoring that tells you before users do, and firewalls with sensible segments. On AWS, a Canadian provider, or a box in your office.

IT management advice

A second opinion from someone who has run production systems for decades. Reviews of what you have, a plain-language plan for what to change, and help choosing vendors without being sold to.

Approach

Your data stays in Canada, and you keep the keys.

Canadian by default

Where we can, systems run on servers in Canada or on hardware you own. A data processing agreement with a foreign provider is not the same as your data being here.

Open tools, no lock-in

We build on open-source software you could hire anyone to maintain. You get the passwords, the configuration and the notes.

Written down

Every job ends with documentation a capable person can follow: what was built, where it lives, and how to restore it from backup.

About

Run by Phillip Jubb, a hands-on technician.

I have worked with computers and Linux since the 1990s and started Liteseed in 2004, after finishing a computer science degree. Over that time the work has covered web and application builds, computer support, embedded systems and, now, private AI infrastructure.

I prefer building and fixing things to managing them, so you will deal with me directly. At home I run my own lab of Proxmox and Unraid servers, a segmented network, and local AI models on my own GPUs. New tools get tested there before they get near a client.
